As part of the Emergence CHORDO project, she uses an interdisciplinary approach to study chordophones from Europe, Africa, and Brazil, and to analyze their diversity, origins, and morphological evolution. During her PhD, defended in 2023 at the National Museum of Natural History (Paris, France), she contributed to the creation of the largest organological database on African harps. She also conducted the first phylogenetic analyses (using cladistic, specifically) on several hundred musical instruments. Her work also focuses on the concepts of description and classification, within a comprehensive approach that is at once epistemological, methodological, and decolonial.
